I was in my mid-twenties when I first became captivated by the bible story of a woman breaking a jar of expensive perfume over the feet of Jesus; an extravagant act of worship, love and devotion towards her friend and her Lord. It is a reminder that nothing is wasted when we devote our weaknesses as well as our strengths, our resources and our gifts to God.
Thirty years on and I am hoping to find a way to respond visually to verses that have become ingrained in my heart and on my mind.
To find the verses that inspired the art look at Matthew 26:6-13
These acrylic and mixed media explorations have developed recently; fuelled by a brilliant and inspiring course I signed up to recently with artist Louise Fletcher.
