Growing the vision...

My recent jewellery pieces explore the relationship between beauty and brokenness, drawing inspiration from the rough, uneven surfaces and fluid, curvy lines found on wave beaten rock on our shorelines.

Each piece is unique and individually handcrafted from recycled sterling silver, with beautiful tourmalines set in fine silver. The pendants have been hallmarked and are suspended from 16-inch silver snake chains.

I use the process of reticulation to create rich, irregular textures within the silver, revealing a surface that feels weathered and naturally formed. In contrast to the rigidity and resistance of the metal, these organic textures suggest something shaped by time, movement and the natural world.

Smooth, fluid lines forged from silver wire move across the textured forms, suggesting strength and resilience and appear almost to hold together the brokenness beneath.
